History

Modular DS was founded and launched in 2022 by Héctor de Prada and David Gómez. Built on years of managing client websites, it was created to simplify WordPress maintenance tasks, helping professionals save time, work more efficiently, and scale their services.

Since its launch, Modular DS has grown and quickly evolved through regular updates guided by user feedback and a public roadmap. In May 2025, the company announced a €615,000 funding round, alongside the release of Modular DS 2.0, a major update that introduced advanced features and a new Enterprise plan.

The platform is recognized for its ease of use and responsive support. It offers a free trial and subscription plans adapted to different business sizes.

As of 2025, more than 3,000 agencies and freelancers use Modular DS to manage over 40,000 WordPress websites.
