History

Modular DS was founded and launched in 2022 by Héctor de Prada and David Gómez. The project was born out of their years of experience managing client websites, with the goal of simplifying maintenance tasks and empowering professionals to scale their services more efficiently.

Since its launch, Modular DS has grown and evolved through regular updates guided by user feedback and a public roadmap. In May 2025, the company announced a €615,000 funding round, alongside the release of Modular DS 2.0, a major update that introduced advanced features and a new Enterprise plan.

The platform is recognized for its ease of use and operates on a subscription-based model, offering a free tier and premium plans adapted to different business sizes.

As of 2025, more than 3,000 agencies and freelancers use Modular DS to manage over 40,000 WordPress websites.
